As part of our activities to contribute to society, we donated to Mie Prefecture the money necessary to purchase a manuscript of extreme cultural significance. The "Suketsunebon Saiku Nyogoshu" is a collection of poetry recited by Emperor Murakami's queen, Yoshiko. The manuscript was written in the Kamakura period by Fujiwara no Suketsune, a direct descendent of Fujiwara no Teika. One volume of this manuscript was missing and was not designated an Important Cultural Asset, but through the investigation of the Saiku Historical Museum the lost volume was located. The manuscript, being approximately 770 years old, is severely deteriorated and cannot be displayed. A copy was made which is part of the permanent exhibition at the Saiku Historical Museum.
